Former Asante Kotoko striker Alex Asamoah has revealed that the club owes him an amount of GH¢8,000 following his move from AshantiGold to the Porcupine Warriors.
According to the 32 year old striker, who currently plays for Techiman Eleven Wonders in the Ghana Premier League, his mammoth move from Obuasi to Kumasi saw the record Ghanaian champions pay only part of his transfer fee with the rest yet to be paid.
Alex Asamoah was transferred from AshantiGold to Asante Kotoko for a record 100 million old Cedis, now GH¢10,000.
“I joined Kotoko on 17th March, 2008 and I signed a 2 years contract with Kotoko in a bid of 100 million (old cedis) but they (Kotoko) still owe me GH¢8,000,” he told Ash FM.
“I played in the Kotoko U-20 so when is was joining the senior team,I knew what the fans want so there was no fears and I did exactly what they wanted,” he added.
Asamoah played 27 times for the Porcupine Warriors, scoring 16 times before leaving for Algerian side ES Setif.
