Richard Boadu has been appointed as the new captain of Asante Kotoko, the club has announced.
The former Medeama SC midfielder replaced defender Abdul Ganiyu for the 2022/23 season.
Ganiyu is reported to have parted ways with the club and did not travel with the team to Sudan for preseason.
Richard Boadu who joint the team just last season will lead the Porcupine Warriors and will be deputized by Yusif Mubarak, Ibrahim Danlad, Christopher Nettey and Pouaty Dendoum.
