Black Stars Captain Asamoah Gyan has apologized to his fans and Ghanaians for his recent response to Prince Tagoe’s seeming attack on him.
The Kayserispor attacker had earlier taken to his Instagram page to jab Prince Tagoe over his allegations that he (Asamoah Gyan) was not in control of the national team.
“I am deeply sorry to anybody or fan I have disappointed with my reply to the Prince Tagoe issue. It was childish on my path to comment on that issue and I promise to not repeat my mistake again,” Gyan said in an interview on Happy FM’s Anopa Bosuo Sports .
He added that “I should be concentrating on the upcoming boxing bout under my promotion which is taking place on Saturday and not to divert my attention to any side issues of this sort”
Prince Tagoe had earlier said that Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah made a mistake by naming Asamoah Gyan as captain of the team because senior players like Sulley Muntari and Michael Essien should have been considered first.
