Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, Founder of Action Chapel International, has broken his silence months after resigning from the board of trustees of the National Cathedral Project.

He explained that he stepped down because he felt unable to contribute effectively in his role on the board, prompting his decision to leave.

He shared this during a collaborative dialogue with prophets in Accra.

In October 2023, Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, along with three other clergymen, resigned from the board of trustees of the National Cathedral Project, citing a lack of transparency as their reason for stepping down.

“Let the good of Ghana be above any loyalty to any political party. People have always asked me which political party I belong to because sometimes they say I am NDC and sometimes they say I am NPP.

“They say I was NPP because I was on the National Cathedral Board, it was one of the reasons I delayed stepping down after a while when I had some concerns. One of the reasons I left is I believe if I am in a place and I can’t make a difference, then it is better I leave quietly. I don’t want to become an enemy. I don’t like fighting people,” he said.

The National Peace Council has on the other hand, advised prophets to avoid predicting election outcomes, warning that such predictions could stir unnecessary tensions and cause divisions within their congregations, which include members from various political affiliations.
