Supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Effutu constituency have expressed disappointment over the party’s failure to secure an appointment for James Kofi Annan, the 2024 Parliamentary Candidate for the area.
As President John Dramani Mahama continues to announce appointments to various state institutions, the supporters are dissatisfied that their candidate has been excluded from the list of appointees.
In protest, some supporters stormed the NDC constituency office, chanting protest songs and vandalized party property to voice their frustration.
Some of the angry protesters stated that they worked tirelessly to help the party win power, even though their parliamentary candidate did not secure victory. They believe it is now time for President Mahama to reward their efforts by appointing their parliamentary candidate to a position.
