A member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Communication Team, Ali Suraj, has urged party members who have withdrawn from openly supporting the party to come forward and defend its values during this challenging period.
Speaking in an interview with Bismark Brown (BB) on Happy 98.9FM’s Epa Hoa Daben show, Ali Suraj expressed concern that many members have distanced themselves from the party following its defeat in the 2024 elections. He described such members as dishonest, emphasizing the need for unity and commitment, even in opposition.
He noted that others have remained in opposition for years but continued to work hard, which eventually led to their victory. He encouraged members not to lose hope or shy away from showing their support simply because the party is no longer in power.
Ali Suraj highlighted his dedication to the NPP while maintaining positive relationships with members of other political parties, including President John Mahama, demonstrating the importance of collaboration beyond party lines.
He called on members to reflect on the party’s contributions to their lives during its time in power and urged them to “rally together to strengthen the NPP during this difficult time”.
