Alhaji Grusah dragged to court over slanderous comments

Joseph Kofi Yeboah, Lawyer for Influential statesman of Ghana football J. Y. Appiah has revealed that his client has hit Alhaji Karim Grunsah with a 2million cedis defamation lawsuit claiming the owner of King Faisal Football Club falsely accused him of corruption in a recent interview on a local radio station.

Speaking on Happy FM’s Wamputu Sports Lawyer Yeboah said ”We are dragging Alhaji Grusah to court because he has insulted JY Appiah and destroyed his image in the media. He has defamed him and we are suing him for that. We have the recordings of him calling JY Appiah a thief and foolish man”

He added that “JY Appiah is a traditional ruler and Alhaji Grusah has totally disgraced him among his colleagues which is unacceptable. We served Alhaji Grusah Yesterday during the extraordinary Congress because I knew that will be the perfect place for us to get him.”

They are demanding “2million cedis for defamation and he must retract and apologize to JY Appiah too. The radio station that he made those comments have been sued too for allowing him to make those remarks,” Lawyer Yeboah opined.

Grusah, who is the bank-roller of King Faisal FC, asserted that some of the actions of J. Y. Appiah during his time in office, go against the principles that underpinned the formation of GHALCA.
