Few years ago, OJ Blaq was down with kidney failure but according to him God miraculously healed him and that he has now become stronger than before.
OJ Blaq speaking to Jessica Opare on Citi FM’s Traffic Avenue revealed that he was a chronic weed smoker and alcohol addict and such lifestyle contributed to his illness.
According to him, he learnt such habits at his days at Junior as well as Secondary school.
“I was not diabetic but I will say it’s lifestyle. Too much alcohol, smoking, meat and my lifestyle did not help me. And what I have understood is that wherever you are weak that’s where Satan uses to attack you,” he said in the interview.
For clarity sake, OJ Blaq born Andy Nii Akrashie gained attention for his 2009 street anthem, ‘Chale Wote’ featuring Captain Planet and hiplife artiste, Asem. He was subsequently signed on to Lynx Entertainment.
Afterwards, he got featured in popular television series, ‘Sun City’ alongside Van Vicker, Ekow Smith-Asante and the late Suzzy Williams.
