Akufo-Addo's dishonesty reflects on Bawumia - Victoria Naema Abdulai

Convener of the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency Women’s Wing of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Victoria Naema Abdulai has criticized President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo of lacking honesty, and by extension, questioned the trustworthiness of his vice president, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

Her comments came in response to the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) manifesto launch on Sunday, August 18, in Takoradi. Abdulai expressed skepticism about Bawumia’s promises, citing his past unfulfilled commitments, such as claiming to have “arrested the dollar” and vowing to improve the economy, which she said he failed to deliver on.

She argued that Bawumia is emulating Akufo-Addo’s example of unkept promises, implying that he cannot be trusted to honor his manifesto pledges.

Additionally, Naema Abdulai accused NPP leaders, including Akufo-Addo, of arrogance, recalling instances where the president allegedly instructed chiefs to stand and greet him. She concluded that the NPP government is untrustworthy and urged Ghanaians to vote against them.
