President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has reaffirmed the government’s dedication to supporting local manufacturing companies in Ghana, particularly in hard economic times.
At a recent visit to Blue Skies Company Limited, a fruit processing firm in Doboro, the President pledged to provide necessary assistance to help local businesses thrive.
This commitment comes at a crucial time, as several international and local companies face closure due to economic difficulties. The President’s visit to Blue Skies, which employs thousands of Ghanaians, highlights the importance of government support for local industries.
However, Group CEO Hugh Pile emphasized the need for assistance to expand operations and address challenges in the pineapple industry.
President Akufo-Addo expressed his admiration for the company’s work and assured management of government support, stating, “I’m impressed with the work of the company. With people like you, there’s hope for the future. I have assured your bosses of the government’s support to the company.”
