Akua Donkor slams Finance Minister over economic recovery claims

The founder and flagbearer of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), Madam Akua Donkor has launched a scathing attack on Finance Minister Dr. Mohammed Amin Adams for his assertion that Ghana’s economy is experiencing a resurgence during his mid-year budget review in parliament.

Madam Akua Donkor vehemently disagrees with the Minister’s optimistic outlook, citing the country’s exorbitant tax rates, alarming levels of unemployment, rise in fuel prices and skyrocketing cost of living as irrefutable evidence that the economy is far from recovering.

In a candid interview with Happy Kaseɛbɔ, Akua Donkor emphasized that the government’s claims of economic progress ring hollow in the face of harsh realities faced by ordinary Ghanaians. She challenged the government to demonstrate tangible signs of economic improvement, such as reducing the crippling tax burden on citizens, tackling the pervasive unemployment crisis, reduce fuel prices, and taking concrete steps to enhance the overall living standards of Ghanaians.

Madam Donkor urged citizens to consider the Ghana Freedom Party as a viable alternative to the incumbent government, emphasizing that her party prioritizes the nation’s well-being and has comprehensive plans to revitalize the struggling economy.
