The Omanhene of Akomadan, Nana Boakye Akuamoah Boateng II, has urged Ghanaians to recognize Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party’s presidential candidate, for his compassion and leadership.
Nana Boateng II commended Dr. Bawumia’s dedication to helping the underprivileged, particularly those affected by leprosy, and pointed to his strong understanding of governance as a reason for Ghanaians to consider supporting his presidential aspirations.
During Dr. Bawumia’s visit as part of his campaign tour of the Ashanti Region, the Omanhene shared an experience that left a lasting impact on him. He recounted how Dr. Bawumia assisted a struggling woman in the Upper West Region by pledging to build her a home, an act of kindness that deeply moved him.
He further noted that Dr. Bawumia celebrates his birthday with elderly individuals and those affected by leprosy, sharing meals with them. This, he said, reflects Dr. Bawumia’s empathy for the vulnerable, along with his intelligence and vision as a leader
