The prosecution in the Ahmed Suale murder case has revised the charges against Daniel Owusu Koranteng, the prime suspect, to include abetment to commit a crime, to wit murder.
This update was disclosed during a court hearing on Wednesday, April 2, 2025.
Koranteng, who has been in custody since his arrest, is accused of publicly sharing images of investigative journalist Ahmed Suale prior to his assassination in January 2019.
He was also allegedly present at the crime scene during the killing.
Initially charged with murder on March 19, 2025, the amended charges reflect the prosecution’s evolving case against Koranteng.
The court has further remanded him into custody, with the next hearing scheduled for April 17, 2025.
