Former Deputy Attorney General Alfred Tuah Yeboah has disclosed the hurdles faced in the early investigation of journalist Ahmed Suale’s murder.
According to him, the Attorney General’s office, during his tenure, found the evidence provided by the police insufficient to pursue prosecution.
“The police submitted their findings for review, but after examining the case, it was clear that there wasn’t enough evidence to prosecute.
We advised the police to continue their investigation,” he explained.
Tuah Yeboah acknowledged recent developments in the case, including the arraignment and remand of suspect Daniel Owusu Koranteng.
While he welcomed this progress, he questioned whether the current evidence was robust enough to ensure justice is served, highlighting the complexities of the case.
