Agyinasare is not powerful enough, I will handle Nogokpo on my own- Nana Agradaa

The Nogokpo shrine and its customs have openly been criticized by evangelist Mama Pat popularly known as Agradaa who has stated her intention to destroy their gods.

She made this statement in response to the ultimatum issued by the elders of Nogokpo concerning Archbishop Charles Agyinasare.

The man of God has been summoned by the chiefs and elders of Nogokpo after they accused him of defaming their community by referring to it as Volta Region’s demonic headquarters.

Agyinasare’s church, Perez Chapel International, has started a week of fasting although it’s still unclear whether he would honour the invitation.

Agradaa however, has succeeded in drawing attention to herself by making outrageous assertions. She implied, during her sermon on Sunday at the Heaven Way Church, that the Nogokpo elders targeted Agyinasare because they thought he was weak.

“I heard on the news yesterday that they were coming for our father, Agyinasare and I asked why didn’t they bring it my way? They would have understood the distinction. Where we can find loose clothing is where we can easily tear it. Bring your attention to Heaven Way Champion. I’ll use a camera to record myself destroying the gods so that others can see that God has real power” she said.

Agradaa strongly denies the existence of any real power in gods like Nogokpo, Antoa Nyama, or Anyanta.

Her forthright views and willingness to question well-established religious institutions have already gained substantial notice.

It is unknown how Nogokpo will respond to Agradaa’s bold challenge however, the resolution of this scenario could have enormous repercussions for religious freedom and coexistence in Ghana, as conflicts between religious leaders and tradition continue to escalate.
