The incumbent Member of Parliament for Agona West Constituency, Cynthia Morrison has debunked allegations of her supporters involvement in the shooting incident that happened at Agona Nyakrom.
According to her, no one from her camp can be held responsible for the gunshot at the rally.
The MP explained that she was not even aware that gunshots were fired until she heard about it later on.
“At the campaign rally, I was so close to the sound system making it difficult for me to hear any gunshot until the police asked me to enter my car and told”.
She added that, “the MP for Effutu constituency, Alexander Afenyo-Markin even called and accused me of allowing my security to cause mayhem at the rally by shooting the Agona West NPP Constituency Nasara coordinator to which I denied”.
“I told Afenyo Markin to verify from the police before the accusation. I believed that once the police has taken up the matter , the truth will prevail”, she noted.
