The Women’s Wing of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Agona West Constituency in the Central Region, has issued a warning to Cynthia Morrison, instructing her not to use the party’s colours or achievements in her campaign, as she is no longer a member of the NPP.

They stated that the party has been instrumental in her political success and urged her not to tarnish the party’s image.
They stated that rumors have surfaced that Madam Morrison has gone independent and submitted her nomination forms to contest the Agona West seat as an independent candidate.

The Women’s Wing warned that if they find her using NPP symbols or colours, they will take legal action or summon her before the local chiefs. They emphasized that Madam Morrison had already served two terms with the party’s support, and with her own son, whom she mentored, winning the NPP primary, they believe she should have backed him instead of opposing him.

They also urged her to stop spreading false information about the party’s candidate and to focus on her independent candidacy.

One party member remarked that even if a chicken were the NPP candidate, she would vote for it, underscoring her loyalty to the party.
