Ghana has suffered it’s first heavy defeat in the 2023 African Games following the elimination of Bernard Joe Sam from the Table Tennis Men’s Singles.
Joe Sam who is a heavy weight in men’s table tennis, has been knocked out of the competition in the round of 64.
Shoumam Mohamed from Egypt defeated the Ghanaian heavyweight in three straight sets.
Meanwhile, Emmanuel Commey has qualified to the round of 32 in the Table Tennis Men’s Singles after beating Mingaslianga Bertin from DR. Congo.
Emmanuel Commey qualified with a 3-1 victory.
