Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac, has vowed to qualify the team to the knockout stage of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations hosted in Cameroon.
Ghana sits third in Group C with just a point in two games after their 1-1 draw against Gabon. As things currently stand, the Black Stars need to convincingly win their last group match against Comoros to stand a chance of qualifying to the round of 16 of the competition.
Addressing the media during the pre-match press conference, Coach Rajevac believes his charges are well motivated and would live up to expectations in their final group game.
“We will fight until the last moment in every match, for us, it is important that we still have a chance to qualify and we are all aware of that. We will do our best, we will motivate the players, we are all aware of how important this is and we don’t want to go home. We want to stay in the competition and we will do everything in our power to make it happen,” he said.
The team arrived in Garoua on Sunday evening ahead of their final group encounter against bottom-placed Comoros.
On Monday evening, the team is expected to hold its official training session at the Roumde Adjia stadium annex.
The Black Stars will take on Comoros on Tuesday at 7 pm at the Roumdé Adjia stadium in Garoua.
