Chief Executive Officer of Aduana Stars Albert Yahaya Commey has explained the idea behind the time schedule for their CAF Confederation Cup clash against Raja Casablanca on Wednesday.
The Fire Boys began their Confederation Cup campaign on a stuttering note after losing 1-0 to Ivorian giants ASEC Mimosas.
The Ghanaian champions will welcome three-time Africa champions Raja Casablanca to the Dormaa Nana Agyemang Park on Match Day 2.
However, the Moroccan side have complained bitterly about the time in which the match will kick-off.
But speaking to Odiasempa Kwame Oware on Happy FM‘s Wamputu Sports, Albert Commey insists the time should not have any adverse effect on the visiting team due to the warm weather condition in the country now.
“We are promising all Ghanaians three points on Wednesday,” Commey told Happy FM.
“We chose 1pm because of the weather conditions and we feel it would be favourable to both teams.”
“The pitch at Dorma is in good condition and meets all the standard required for international matches.”
The Moroccans will touch down in Ghana tomorrow for the game on Wednesday, having already sent some contingent to monitor situations Dormaa ahead of the game.
