Nigerian and Atlanta attacker, Ademola Lookman has been awarded the 2024 African Player of the year during the Confederation of African Football Awards ceremony.
Ademola Lookman was nominated among Moroccan star Achraf Hakimi, Guinean Striker Serhou Guirassy, Simon Adingra from Ivory Coast and South African goalkeeper Ronwen Williams.
His outstanding performance made him emerge the Best African Player of year 2024.
He played a vital role in both club and National teams.
Lookman was very instrumental at Atlanta in the Serie A and also became the first player to score a hat-trick in the UEFA Europa League final against Bayer Leverkusen.
He was also ranked 14th in the 2024 Ballon d’Or standings.
His outstanding performance has also helped Nigeria to qualify for 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
After receiving the award, he dedicated it to his teammates, fans and family for their unwavering support in his football career.
