Ablekuma central MP conferred Development Chief

The member of Parliament for the Ablekuma Central Constituency, Ebenezer Gilbert Nii Narh Nartey set to be conferred the title of Development Chief by His Royal Highness Alhaji Yahaya Hamisu Baako Leader of the Sabon Zongo community.

The title is in recognition for the many developmental works the member of parliament has undertaken in the constituency and his altruistic personality.

He was singled out for praise by the leader of Sabon Zongo for his bold decision to discontinue the weekend classes organized in basic schools, this is to allow the children in the Muslim communities to attend Makaranta to enhance their moral uprightness.

The leaders of the community lamented on the lack of time the children had to study the Islamic Religion and practices due to the weekend classes held at the various basic schools, hence the move by the member of parliament to discontinue the practice.

The move has been lauded by the leaders of the Zongo communities, as a progressive attempt at helping instill the Islamic values.

Alhaji Yahaya Hamisu Baako praised the member of parliament’s efforts in making sure the Zongo community is not left behind in developmental projects.

Clinic set to be commissioned by Hon Gilbert Nartey later this year

Mr. Nartey in his attempt to bringing a multi-facet development to his constituency has overseen the construction of a clinic, library, scholarship scheme to reward needy but brilliant students and also instituting several award schemes for teachers and students.

They also praised him for being ever-present at all programs organized by the Zongo Community.
