The Ghana National Amputee Football Team, also known as the Black Challenge, have secured a convincing semi-final spot at the ongoing African Amputee Football Cup of Nations (AAFCON) after thrashing Tanzania 4-1 in the quarter-final stage yesterday.
Ghanaian forwards Yussif Yahaya and Hamza Mohammed were the stars of the show, each contributing a brace to overpower their Tanzanian counterparts.
Yahaya’s clinical finishing and Mohammed’s dominant performance on the field, which earned him the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award, propelled the Black Challenge to victory.
The Black Challenge’s journey isn’t over yet. They are set to face a formidable opponent, Algeria, in the semi-finals tomorrow, May 25.
Ghana will be looking to defend their title by securing a place in the AAFCON finals.
