The 22-year-old forward moved to Spurs on a five-year deal last summer but failed to impress Mauricio Pochettino.
An £8million signing, N’Jie will leave initially on loan to Marseille with a £7million permanent move already agreed and triggered by a number of easily-achieved milestones.

Man United defender blow
Manchester United have been dealt a blow with the news Raphael Varane wants to stay at Real Madrid.
Jose Mourinho is keen to add another centre half to his squad this summer and is known to be a big fan of the young Frenchman.
But it appears 23-year-old is keen to stay at the Bernabeu.
“I want to stay here this year, I feel loved by the fans who want the best for me, and the best is yet to come,” he told Marca.
“I hope to be allowed to start afresh- I’d like to push on, to continue improving. After being at Real for five years, I want to make the next step.”
Atletico not giving up on Costa
Atletico Madrid are still refusing to give up on Diego Costa.
The Chelsea striker, signed from Atletico for £32million two years ago, is at the centre of a tug of war between the two clubs.
Costa has told the Blues that he will not force a move away, despite the interest of his former club. But Atletico believe he would be open to rejoining them to solve their crisis up front.
AC Milan marksman Carlos Bacca is currently stalling on a move to West Ham and has suggested he would jump at the chance of a switch to Champions League regulars Atletico instead.

Pogba is currently absent from Juve’s tour of Australia but Allegri does not know if the Frenchman will link up with the team when they return to Europe.
He admitted: “Pogba is a Juventus player at the moment but we don’t know what is going to happen. The club are looking after negotiations.”
