Accra Hearts of Oak Board member Alhaji Akambi says the cost of the Pobiman Project is confidential and will be made k known to the public after the completion of the project.
Hearts signed an agreement on Friday with local contractors K.A Estate Limited to begin phase one of the project.
Alhaji Akambi, a member of the Pobiman project committee said the estimated budget for the project may increase or reduce, thus the need to wait on informing the public on the budget and cost of the project.
Speaking in an interview on Happy 98.9FM he disclosed that the Executive Chairman of the club Togbe Afede had to release a lot of collateral in order to secure
funding for the project.
, “Togbe Afede took a risk to secure funding for the project with his collateral. The cost of the Pobiman project is confidential. The budget may exceed or be less than what we have planned so whatever comes out we will inform the public”, he told Odiasempa Kwame Oware.
He added that the Pobiman Project is expected to be completed within it stipulated time if construction begins.
The project would include multipurpose facilities that would house players, gymnasium, swimming pool, multiple playing fields, and other facilities.
