President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has announced that every Ghanaian would have to wear a face mask going forward.
The announcement follows the suspension of partial lockdown on parts of Accra and Kumasi effective Monday, April 20 at 1 am.
In a televised address on Sunday evening, the president noted that Ghana’s case count has crossed the 1,000 mark with the total count now 1,042.
He also disclosed that the government has begun the use of drones to transport samples taken for the novel coronavirus from distant locations to the various testing centres.
“Government has also introduced the use of drones to expedite the transportation of samples to laboratory centers. On Friday 17th April for example, 51 samples were delivered from the Omenako drone distribution center to Noguchi,” he said.
