Spokesperson and media manager for the Ayew family, Fiifi Ahunu Tackie has cautioned a section of the media who have contrived to continually spew out falsehoods about Andre Ayew to put an immediate stop to that practice.
According to Fiifi, who speaks for Swansea City’s Andre and his younger brother Jordan who plays for Aston villa, such false and concocted stories from the media are only pursued to create disaffection for the Black Stars deputy skipper.
Speaking on Happy FM’s Anopa Bosuo Sports Monday Monday morning, the astute journalist labeled as false, reports making rounds that Andre Ayew had gone to see President John Mahama to talk about increasing the bonus of the Black Stars from $8,000 to $12,000.
“In all humility, all those putting out false reports about Andre Ayew must stop it now. This has gone on for far too long but we have been quite about it but it is getting out of hand. People are concocting stories about him all in a bid to put him in bad light. We have to set the records straight. They say Dede has gone to see the president …Dede says the bonuses must be increased…Is Dede a minister? Why don’t you go ask Omane Boamah who speaks for the president if indeed he met him? These are all lies and those spewing them out cannot substantiate it when they are asked to.” Fiifi Tackie told Happy FM.
He advised the media to desist from these kind of publications and make enquiries from him.
“We have a cordial relationship with the media and I expect the media to contact me if they want any information. It’s better to clarify issues than to go about spreading falsehoods about Dede.” Fiifi admonished.
Andre Ayew is currently in The United States with his club where they are having their pre-season camp.
