Hearts of Oak failed to end AshantiGold’s impressive record in Accra as both sides drew in match day eight of the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League (GPL).
The Phobians have failed to pick a win against AshantiGold since 2014 at home in the Ghana Premier League.
The first chance of the game saw Hearts forward Daniel Afriyie hit a drive which went over the bar for a goal kick.
In the 19th minute, Joseph Esso and Kofi Kordzi missed a chance to put the home side in front as both players were late to tap the ball into the barren net from a cross from the right wing.
AshantiGold forward Benedict saw his header saved by Hearts goalkeeper Richard Attah which prevented his side from taking the lead.
The first half ended with both sides failing to find the back of the net.

Hearts dominated play in the opening minutes of the second half as they pushed for the first goal of the game.
AshantiGold bounced back and dominated the second half with their compact passing game.
Both sides were resolute at the back, with goalkeepers up to the task.
In the last five matches played between the two sides, AshantiGold has recorded two wins out of five and the three games ending in a draw.
