Former Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah says he never cursed the Black Stars when stripped off the captaincy.
Appiah was stripped off the Black Stars captaincy during the 1992 Africa Cup of Nations in Senegal.
According to reports, the decision to strip him off the captaincy was because he couldn’t speak French and as a result cursed the team.
Appiah debunked those reports, which he claimed were just fabricated and he did no such thing as he was a member of the team and later became a coach.
“I never cursed the team as been reported in the media”, he told Happy FM.
“Why would I curse the team when I was part of it. Moreover, I use to be the coach of the National team so if I cursed the team not to win the AFCON title then I should have revoked it by now”, he ended.
