Aspirant for Ashanti Regional Football Association chairman, Lawyer Osei Nsiah says he is focused at reviving colts and divisional football in the region.
Osei Nsiah who has been the Referees Chairman for the region for years says he wants to take up the mantle and bring changes in the administration of football in the region.
“I have been Referees Chairman for so many years in my region and have done a lot of marvelous things in football for my region as a Chairman of the Referees Association but I now want to contest for the RFA chairmanship”, he told Ohene Bampoh Brenya on Happy FM’s Anopa Bosuo Sports.
The Ashanti Region Referees chairman seems to have been eyeing the top job.
“I have prepared myself very well for the position being on the Executive Council for 12 years”.
He also outlined some challenges facing the region which he hopes to change when voted into power.
“For the past four years there hasn’t been any colts football in our region. We can’t even count more than 30- third division clubs in the region anymore so given the chance; I will address all these issues. First, second and third divisions, including women’s football”.
“Clubs pay GH 500 as affiliations fee and they don’t even get anything in return not even balls. They still pay referees for officiating and I am going to change that when I am voted into office”, he concluded.
