Joseph Bediako, convener of the Movement for Truth and Accountability (MTA) has called on President Nana Akuffo-Addo to help make their work easier by standing up in the fight against corruption.
He spoke of his ordeal on how he was dragged to court by the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), for having a press conference on the board’s revenue expenditure.
‘’The NPP did not come to fight corruption. I will not say they do because I move with them. President Akuffo-Addo, as you have come to power, don’t allow your appointees to disgrace you. Use your credibility and have all the corrupt appointees arrested, and stop pampering friends’’ he remarked.
He asked to be given clarification on why GRA Acting Board Chairman and owner of ‘Fio Enterprise’ Adelaide Ahwireng, has rented out two buildings to the GRA with questionable agreement documents.
She is paid property rate and maintenance fee of GHC1,000 and GHC10,000 of which there is no proper maintenance seen and no provision of cleaning services or materials.
