The current Member of Parliament for Cape Coast South Mr. Kweku Rickett Hagan, on Saturday August 24 won the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary primary to retain his position as the candidate for the Cape Coast South seat.
He polled 321 of the total votes cast whilst his contender Mr. Thomas Amissah polled 282 votes with Henry Shoe trailing behind with 241 votes.
The polls went on smoothly under the supervision of the Cape Coast Office of the Electoral Commission (EC).
Some 524 aspirants gunning to become Parliamentary candidates of the NDC across 157 constituencies in the country.
NDC, Ghana’s largest opposition party, is voting Saturday to select those who will represent its constituencies in the 2020 election.
