The Black Stars opponents in the next stage of the continental gathering have been confirmed.
Ghana will play Tunisia in the Round of 16 at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Egypt.
The Round of 16 fixture is set for Ismailia Stadium on Monday. Tunisia ultimately finished second in Group E, four points behind winners Mali who handed Angola a 1-0 defeat in the other group tie on Tuesday.
Ghana, on the other hand, sensationally topped Group F, having entered the final match day mainly with an eye on grabbing the second position as Cameroon were thought to have all but secured the first position.
Ghana and Tunisia last met at AFCON 2012 when the Black Stars ran out 2-1 winners after extra-time in a quarter-final clash.
The Black Stars’ also played their first AFCON match in 1963 against the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia and the Stars won by 1-0.
Ghana and Tunisia have played 17 times, Ghana has won 10, drew 3, lost 4.
The two teams have met 7 times in AFCON, Ghana has won 6, drew 1.
The black stars is yet to lose against Tunisia in AFCON.
