President John Mahama has admonished supporters of the National Democratic Congress to remain calm and not indulge in any action that would plunge the country into a state of instability.
Speaking to scores of party supporters who have massed up at his residence, Mahama also beseeched them to remain calm and be law abiding as they would respect the outcome of the election.
“We are the party in government and so We have more to lose if there is any instability in this country. Let us respect the constitution. The EC is doing its work. They have released some figures. We have taken hold of those figures and we are doing our own collation and comparing them with the figures that we have. We need to be calm and allow the EC to do its work. I want to assure the nation that we will respect the outcome of the election, positive or negative. Let us be law abiding. God bless our homeland Ghana.”
