Former Trades and Industry Minister, Ekwow Spio Garbrah, and National Democratic Congress (NDC) stalwart, Goosie Tanoh, have officially filed their nomination at the party’s headquarters to contest the NDC’s presidential race.
This brings to seven the number of persons who have filed to contest for the party’s primaries slated for Saturday, January 26, 2019. Today, Tuesday, December 18, 2018, was the last day for the submission of forms.
However, one of the aspirants, Stephen Atubiga, could not submit his forms today, as he announced his withdrawal to support John Dramani Mahama.
Any appeals from the aspirants will be permitted between the 22nd and 24th of December, 2018.
Five other aspirants submit forms
Five other aspirants, Joshua Alabi, Alban Bagbin, Sylvester Mensah, Nurideen Iddrisu and former President John Mahama, have also filed their nomination forms.
The vetting of the aspirants will be on the 21st and 22nd of December, 2018, with balloting to follow immediately after that.
Any appeals from the aspirants will be permitted between the 22nd and 24th of December, 2018, and the election is to come off on January 26, 2019.
