Tianjin Teda winger Frank Acheampong says he is ready to return to the Black Stars after failing to earn call-up in their last two games.
The 25-year-old believe his performance for Tianjin Teda in the just-ended Chinese Super League could persuade Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah to hand him a return to the team.
Acheampong failed to make it to the West African giants’ squad for their 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying double header against Sierra Leone and Ethiopia.
However, Acheampong said the country possessed great talents who were equally good to fill the void in his absence.
He was, however, of the hope of making a quick return to help the Stars to achieve their target at the upcoming 2019 AFCON.
The former RSC Anderlecht wideman lavished praises coach Appiah for improving the squad and stressed that he would be instrumental in Ghana’s bid to end her 36-year AFCON drought.
Acheampong scored 17 goals in 26 games to help Tianjin Teda escape relegation from the Chinese top-flight league.
