General Secretary of Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT), Benjamin Benlock has wished Asante Kotoko best of luck ahead of their CAF Confederation Cup campaign.
Ghana’s representatives to the 2018/19 CAF Confederation Cup, Kumasi Asante Kotoko advanced to the one-sixteenth stage of the competition without kicking a ball.
This follows a decision by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to cancel the first round match involving Kotoko after the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) failed to submit its representative before the deadline.
“We take it very cool, it’s like football, either you win, lose or draw,” Benlock told Oyerepa FM.
“It’s fair play, normal and it’s not somebody’s fault than ours so I congratulate Asante Kotoko and I’m sure they will train well for the match.”
The Porcupine Warriors will now face the winner of Arta Solar 7 (Djibouti) and Kariobangi Sharks FC (Kenya) in the next round of the competition.
Meanwhile, the Kenyan side have taken a giant step in the first leg of their encounter against the Djibouti outfit following a 6-1 victory on Tuesday night.
