Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan has registered his displeasure with calls for him to retire from the national team.
Gyan, who is Ghana all-time leading scorer has been faced with criticism in recent time following his underwhelming performances for the Black Stars.
Some members from the football fraternity has called for his retirement, claiming he has passed his prime after failing to hold down a regular playing spot at club side.
However, the 33-year-old marksman is not bending to the calls and asked to be judged when he is fully fit.
“I feel disappointed when I hear things like that,” he said on Fire for Fire show on Asempa FM.
“It is not as if they’re judging me when I am fit and playing.”
“I want people to judge my performance when I am fully fit then the judgment will be fair not when I am on treatment or something like that.”
