
Ghanaian Highlife musician Lucky Mensah has disclosed that his decision to ditch the National Democratic Congress (NDC) was as a result of the incompetence the Mahama-led administration showcased
According to the loud-mouth musician, the Mahama-led administration did not bring life chancing policies to the citizens. This informed his decision to join President Akufo-Addo’s campaign team.
“I decided to campaign for Akufo-Addo because Mahama was failing Ghanaians. He was not providing the needed leadership that was needed to give Ghanaians better opportunities.’’
“The way ‘dumsor’ was affecting Ghanaians was terrible and so I decided to return to Ghana from Canada so I could campaign for Nana Addo to provide a better leadership and alleviate the economic hardship of Ghanaians.”
In response to a question of whether or not his support for Nana Addo affected his career, he said “campaigning for Nana Addo affected my career in a way but I’m not disappointed.”
Lucky Mensah visited to Nana Akufo-Addo’s residence and presented him with a copy of his track, ‘Yeresesamu’ that sort to support the party’s 2016 election campaign.
In 2012, Lucky Mensah composed ‘Atta Beye’ for the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Lucky Mensah is known for hit songs like ‘Wote akoma’ and ‘Come back’.
