Chief Executive Officer for Bechem United, Paa Kwesi Darlington says the club is not ready to call Abednego Tetteh for explanation amidst outbursts about the club over the GHc 10 issue.
It was reported last week that Abednego Tetteh went overboard on one of the radio stations in Kumasi and disclosed that the club gave him 10.00GHC as a sending off bonus after their heroics in the premier league last season and the MTN FA Cup, and therefore it would be difficult for him to return to the club next season.
And Paa Kwesi Darlington has reiterated that the club is not prepared to invite the player for clarification on the issue, but will rather wait for the player to present his side of the case to the club’s board when he feels the time the is right.
“We’ve heard that he wants to change his phone number, but I can assure him that we’re also not ready to call him,” Paa Kwesi said on Happy FM.
“We are not ready for him because if he thinks the stance he’s taken is okay for him, so are we. Up until the time he changes his mind and realize he has a running contract with us and thinks because the team has resumed preseason training and he comes, we shall delve into the issue as it should be, but for us to call him for explanation now, no we’ll not stoop so low for that.”
