The National Organizer of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has out rightly denied rumours making the rounds that he demanded moneys from the party’s Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament; Alban Sumana Bagbin, one of the aspirants in the race for the NDC’s presidential slot.
It is never true I demanded moneys from any of the aspirants he stressed.
Kofi Adams made this denial on the ‘Epa Hoa Daben’ show hosted Kwame Afrifa-Mensah on Accra-Based Happy FM.
Anybody who tell you I demanded money from him or her is not forthright and worth following as a leader he said.
He explained that when the party took the decision to conduct the re-organization exercise informed by the Prof. Kwesi Botchwey report, the party approached all the aspirants to support the party in that direction.
This cannot be me demanding moneys from them and I made the demands in the capacity as National Organizer of the party he averred.
According to him, when the request was made it was Bagbin who offered vehicles to cart polling materials to the three upper regions of the country.
So it will be wrong for anybody to accused of me taking money adding that he has lived a good live stemming from his association with some good persons in the country.
There are people I thought who are wealthy in the society and who support my political activities he said .
Speaking on who he will support in the NDC’s presidential race, he said he will at any day, anytime support the candidature of the ex-president John Dramani Mahama over all the others.
