The commandant of the Police Academy at Tesano in the Greater Accra region, ACP Anderson Fosu-Ackah and seven others have been honoured by the chiefs and people of the Sewfi traditional area in the Western Region for their meritorious services towards the development of the area.
The Omanhene of the Sewfi Wiaso traditional area, Katakyei Kwasi Bumangama II presented a plague to the commandant for his services towards the development of the Sewfi area and beyond at the climax of the 2017 Elu festival in the paramount area.
The plague reads: ‘’A true native of Sewfi and an honourable personality.
You have prepared yourself adequately through sacrifices for the profession you have chosen.
You entered the Police service at the rank of a Constable and have risen to become Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP).
This has not come on a silver platter but through hard work, diligence and by being astute with your job.
Additionally, you have advanced yourself by climbing up the educational ladder after entering Ghana Police Service after Sixth Form to read Psychology, Public Administration and LLB, culminating in your call to the Bar by the Chief Justice.
You have become a role model for our youth.
Your social responsibilities to your community have been phenomenal and your contribution to Ghana in terms of ensuring law and order, security and justice are commendable.
The traditional area has noted your influence and therefore honours you this citation.’’
