The Minister for Labour, Jobs and Employment, Dr. Abdul Rashid Pelpuo has called on the leadership of the Civil and Local Government Staff Association of Ghana (CLOGSAG) to call off its strike as the ministry continues to engage them for an amicable solution.
The Minister in a statement acknowledged receiving CLOGSAG’s petition, highlighting further
discussions with relevant parties are underway.
“We have taken note of your concerns and will advise the President on any related future appointments. It is my fervent hope that this petition would be put in perspective”.
CLOGSAG’s strike stems from concerns about the appointment of Mr. Samuel Adom Botchway as the Registrar of Births and Deaths by President John Dramani Mahama.
