The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has announced a major reshuffle of Regional Health Directors to improve healthcare delivery nationwide.
Effective April 14, 2025, the reassignments are intended to strengthen the healthcare system and align with GHS’s strategic objectives.
As part of the changes, Dr. Samuel Kwabena Boakye-Boateng, formerly the Regional Director of Health Services for the Upper East Region, has been appointed as the Director of Policy, Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation Division (PPMED) at GHS headquarters.
The Ghana Health Service has highlighted the importance of these reassignments in ensuring efficient and effective healthcare delivery.
They also believe that the restructuring aims to enhance service provision, address the evolving healthcare needs of the population, and reaffirm GHS’s commitment to improving public health nationwide.
