John Dramani Mahama has officially been sworn in as Ghana’s President, marking the beginning of his second term as president
The swearing in ceremony took place at the Independence Square in Accra where 21 Heads of State from Africa and beyond attended including presidents from Ghana’s neighboring countries.
President Mahama’s was officially sworn in by the Chief Justice, Her Ladyship Getrude Torkornoo where he reaffirmed his commitment to serving and upholding Ghana’s constitution.
President Mahama was Vice President to Professor John Evans Atta- Mills in 2009 and assumed office as president after Professor Mills passed.
He also contested and became president in 2012.
Prior to that, Mr. Mahama served as a Member of Parliament for Bole Bamboi.
