Former Black Stars striker, Abdul Majeed Warris has expressed his disappointment about Ghana’s inability to qualify for the 2025 African Cup of Nations in Morocco.
The Black Stars failed to qualify for the AFCON in Morocco after finishing the qualifiers without a single victory in the games they played.
Reacting to it, Majeed Warris said “Ghanaians haven’t reacted angrily enough because we are a year away from the tournament and the impact will be felt when the AFCON begins in December 2025”.
“I think it is a shame to all of us, and I feel like something needs to be done.”
“Everyone is hurt, and we are not going to feel it that much now, but when it’s time for the tournament, when you see the countries arriving for the tournament and the joy and happiness that it brings into the country, that’s when the country [Ghana] will feel it more.
“It is something that we are all not happy about,” Abdul Majeed Warris said.
