A consignment of fertilizers reportedly intended for distribution to farmers has been uncovered in Sokoban, Ashanti Region.
The discovery was allegedly made by a team led by Joseph Yamin, the National Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), along with Deputy General Secretary Mustapha Gbande and Capt. Jabari (Rtd).
The fertilizers, estimated to exceed 10,000 bags, were found stored in a two-storey building whose ownership remains unknown.
Breaking the news on Facebook, the NDC’s Deputy General Secretary, Mustapha Gbande, expressed his disappointment over the situation and pledged to ensure accountability.
The team has vowed to identify the building’s owner and bring those responsible for hoarding the fertilizers to justice, ensuring they face the full weight of the law.
“We have just arrested over 10,000 bags of fertilizer in Sokoban, Ashanti Region in a house we are yet to identify its owners after close intelligence, myself ,national organizer and Capt. Rtd. Jabari are currently here with our boys.
I have never seen this type of political wickedness of the current NPP in my life”, he wrote.
