The Western Regional Coordinating Council has announced a ban on the sale of vegetables by food vendors in the region.
The ban came as a result of the increasing number of cholera cases in the region.
The council in a statement mentioned that, the ban is part of urgent measures to address the escalating cholera outbreak which has reached critical levels.
The council noted that, pursuant to Public Health Act 2012, Act 851, offenders will face prosecution for failure to adhere to the ban by the council.
