Richard Kingson, a former Black Stars goalkeeper has revealed why he voted for Benjamin Ayiku over Dr. Okoe-Boye in the just ended election at the Ledzokuku Constituency.

According to Richard Kingson, Benjamin Ayiku of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) was helping the community from his own pocket long before he decided to contest for the parliamentary seat and he appreciates that.

Benjamin Ayiku on Sunday, December 8, was proclaimed as Member of Parliament elect for the Ledzokuku Constituency beating the NPP’s Dr. Okoe Boye for the second time.

“Every Ghanaian has a candidate or a party they support, and I can say Ayiku, even before he became a PC, was helping the community with his own money. By the grace of God, he was voted as the MP,” Kingston said.

He however added that he won’t get involved in politics and he has no plans to do that because his role is in football.
