The distribution of electoral materials in the Bolga Municipality of the Upper East Region has reportedly faced delays, leaving voters waiting at polling centers as the scheduled voting time approaches.
Reports indicate that the materials, intended for polling centers across the region’s 15 constituencies, were delayed minutes before the polls are set to open.
In response, Electoral Commission (EC) officials assured the public that they are expediting the process to ensure the materials reach the centers promptly, enabling voters to exercise their franchise on time. “We are expected to open centers by 7:00AM so we will get the materials there by 7:00AM.” an official said.
Today, December 7, 2024, marks the nation’s general elections, with eligible voters heading to the polls to select their desired president and member of Parliament. According to the EC, voting is scheduled to start at 7:00 AM and conclude at 5:00 PM.
